Each year over 13,000 children in the US are diagnosed with cancer. Camp Goodtimes West was established in 1984 to provide a no cost camp environment for children affected by cancer where they can recapture the joys of childhood.
For 30 years, Camp Goodtimes has welcomed over 240 campers a year from Western Washington and Alaska for two weeks of traditional summer camp, and a weeklong kayak trip.

"Camp was the first place I could share my story without anyone judging me." Devin, former camper

"For once the cancer didn't matter." Alyssa sibling of former camper

"Camp is one of the few times I get to see my son smile." Alicia, camper mother

"I cannot clearly express what the camp experience has meant to my family. For one week a year, we all get to take a break from cancer." Michelle, camper mother

The American Cancer Society has been funding Camp Goodtimes since its inception. However, this past year the ACS pulled all funding from children's camp programs to focus on finding a cure. Obviously finding a cure is critical. Between now and then, camps like Camp Goodtimes plays a pivotal role in the lives of these children and their families.

Camp costs $1,700 per camper. When we achieve our Drive A Thon goal of $100,000 we'll be able to send 60 kids to camp!
