Turn2

Turn2 Lapping serves the experienced driver at track events located in the Pacific Northwest.  If you are the professional race car driver looking for some time to polish your skills, or the driver that needs to learn some car control at speed, or just need to get away from the office, we are here to serve you.

Safety

Because at the end of the day, no one wants to go home bent or broken, safety is our number one priority.  The most important safety equipment in a car is the driver.  The driver's attitude can make all the difference. What is the red neck's famous last words?  "Hey Bubba, watch this!"   Our rules ensure both safety and comfort for your day at the track.  Turn2 uses SCCA trained turn workers at each turn station.  Each turn station has flags, radios, and other safety gear.  Available on site is Race Rescue for medical and tow trucks for disabled vehicles.

Tech Inspections

We find that most drivers love to tinker on their own cars.  This is great!  There are times, however, that you may just miss something.  We require you to fill out a tech form at the track before you get your numbers or are allowed on the track.  We strongly recommend an annual third party comprehensive tech inspection.  The PCA/PNWR and the BMW clubs have great forms for these inspections and relationships to great service providers for these inspections.

Event Day

What to expect at a Turn2 Lapping event?  First of all, a lot of seat time.  At each event, there should be at least 3 hours of seat time available.  You may want to bring extra tires, brakes, and gas.  The day begins with a manditory drivers meeting before the track goes hot.  We cover any specific rules for each run group and update everyone on track conditions and things to look for on the track.  We break into three preassigned run groups according to driver skill.  To ensure there is not much traffic, each run group is limited.  A healthy, light lunch is provided and included in the cost of registration.

Training

If you want to have an instructor to improve your skill set,  or your skill level requires you to drive with an instructor, we have access to some of the best high performance driving instructors available in the Pacific Northwest.  If you have specific needs, please contact Tom to make arrangements.
